Quality Assurance Supervisor

Precision fabrications, welded assemblies and structural components.
High quality, safety critical sectors including power generation, nuclear, oil & gas and marine.

Based South Wales

Market competitive salary and benefits

Ref: L10819

Our client is a major international engineering group which works closely with prime contractors on significant projects within the power generation, nuclear, oil and gas and marine sectors. The group has an excellent global reputation for its work in these demanding, time and safety critical sectors.  There is a heavy accent on fabrication and structural work which is carried out to stringent quality standards and welding codes dictated by the relevant sector and inspection authorities with a significant volume of NDT and high demands with regard to the traceability of process, personnel and uniformity of materials.

This role carries responsibility for the monitoring and application of quality best practice across a number of projects and will involve activity largely in plant with some on-site international working. Reporting to the Quality Manager and working closely with project managers and, occasionally, client personnel this is a hands-on role with close involvement in the manufacturing process, material conformity, welder accreditation and liaison with the relevant inspection authorities and client representatives.

Ideal candidates will already be operating in similar Quality Assurance roles associated with one or more of the identified sectors and with specific knowledge, relevant qualifications and experience of the Quality Standards and best practices pertinent to that sector. Fabrication project experience, international exposure and the flexibility to travel and occasionally work internationally will also be expected.

This challenging role offers considerable breadth, accelerated career development and significant prospects for the Quality Assurance professional who wishes to extend their horizons and expand their experience. The negotiable salary is set to attract the best and the fringe benefits are those associated with an international group of this scale.
