Our Client is looking for a results-oriented, organised and highly-motivated Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for the UK and Ireland to provide regional marketing leadership and guide the Group's corporate marketing team. The ideal candidate will bring relevant industry (especially contact centre, Cloud,) and business-to-business experience along with a proven ability to plan and implement effective marketing strategies.

Recent years have seen the Group receive a number of key accolades, especially within the contact centre industry. These include the 2016 Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation, 2018 IT Europa Award and 2017 UK Cloud Awards, and recognition as the leading challenger in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Contact Centre as a Service, Western Europe in 2016 and 2017. The CMO (UK & Ireland) will be tasked with the challenge of building on and surmounting these achievements, and establishing the company as an indisputable leader in its field. This will involve the design and delivery of industry thought leadership pieces as well as proactively searching for ways to gain the Group international recognition

Main Duties

Design and oversee the successful execution of global and regional marketing strategies

Manage and implement a brand strategy to establish the Group as a world leader in enterprise communications solutions

Be a global thought leader in the communication technology sector

Liaise closely with product management teams in order to create strategic product launches

Work closely with the International Sales Directors in order to manage lead generation activities and co-ordinate campaigns

Implement innovative and creative marketing campaigns to support activities across international marketplaces, establishing the brand in new markets while solidifying its presence in existing areas

Be responsible for a rapidly-growing brand image and act as a role model to a young, dynamic team in order to compete with major, established organisations within the industry on a global scale

Ensure the continued development of the Group's digital marketing presence, including management of customer-facing websites and deploying online and social strategies

Maintain a strong working knowledge of industry developments as well as company innovations in order to inform thought leadership materials and strengthen general marketing collateral

Experience and Skills

A minimum of 10 years' experience managing marketing teams

Relevant professional qualifications

Must be able to demonstrate successful delivery and/or involvement in marketing campaigns against strict KPIs

Solid knowledge of modern marketing techniques, including inbound and content marketing techniques

Strong management and timekeeping skills

Ability to liaise with internal and external figures, particularly key company stakeholders

Must have the relevant documentation to work in the UK on a permanent basis

Must be able to pass a Disclosure Scotland basic security check

Excellent level of IT/Computer literacy

Be prepared to travel to meetings in the UK and abroad

Strong presentation skills

Uphold the company's values and ethos

Demonstrate the ability to work effectively within an international, multicultural team


Foreign language skills - the company is currently active in the Netherlands, France, Holland, Germany, US and Japan and has international expansion ambitions. Degree educated, BA, Bsc, MBA, Masters, BA, BSc Upto PhD

A keen interest in technology in general, and in software, computing and telecoms in particular

Ability to interact with and understand complex technological concepts and condense this information into a style appropriate for consumption by a range of audiences.
