Associate - Director of Finance & Procurement
The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) regulate pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies in Great Britain. We work to assure and improve standards of care for people using pharmacy services. The GPhC is a respected regulatory body, acknowledged by the Professional Standards Authority for meeting all the Standards of Good Regulation.
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an outstanding finance professional with a proven track record of developing and delivering effective strategic financial planning and producing budgets, reports, forecasting and analysis to meet business aims. Reporting into the Chief Executive and Registrar, the Associate – Director of Finance & Procurement will play a key role within the Senior Leadership team, whilst heading up finance and procurement.
Managing a team of 7 staff, your key responsibilities of the role include:
- Acting as a strategic business partner, you will deliver accurate, timely and relevant information to the Chief Executive, council and other stakeholders
- Collaborating with the wider Executive team to ensure overall strategic development of the GPhC is progressed
- Bring a more commercial approach to finance, to deliver the strategic aims of the organisaion
The successful candidate must be a credible, professionally qualified accountant with exemplary leadership skills, high standards and strong attention to detail. You must be a naturally strategic thinker, and a robust, clear communicator to enable you to build effective relationships and influence individuals at all levels, in and out of finance. Your significant experience will have been gained within a public sector organisation, although time within a smaller business would be advantageous. You will be comfortable at managing operational finance and ensuring a best practice mentality.
