Lead Identity and Access Management (IAM) Process Engineer
Oakland, CA

.*Position can be remote but will have occasional travel to Oakland*

$140-185K +Bonus

The Lead Identity and Access Management (IAM) Process Engineer will promote IAM across Company. The Lead IAM Process Engineer will work with cross-functional teams to define and document business requirements for Identity and Access Management systems, including requirements for establishing role, entitlements and access definitions, defining the provisioning life cycle processes, user account life cycle processes, reconciliation, certification, birthright provisioning, and deprovisioning processes. Additionally, they will define and build out next generation IAM process focused services, including RBAC, risk-based authorization models and big-data driven entitlement management. They require not only a solid foundation in IAM processes and process engineering in general, but also a deep understanding of the Datamodelling and analytic techniques that will drive our future state operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Establish relationships with both technical and business leaders in order to advance the adoption of the IAM program
  • Conduct business process and data analysis to derive Role-based access control (RBAC) Matrix for IAM solutions
  • Work with IAM technical team to implement and automate IAM processes
  • Design IAM processes to support the IAM services
  • Define, facilitate, and drive periodic access review, certification, attestation processes
  • Periodically evaluate IAM processes and security controls to ensure compliance with policies
  • Review IAM reports and investigate possible process exceptions, updates, and maintain functional requirements document
  • Develop business-relevant metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the Identity Management processes
  • Identify and Document Segregation of Duties Scenarios and compose applicable access control rule
  • Discuss Business Applications with Business Owners with a focus on Access Control requirements
  • Discuss Applications with Application Owners with a focus on Access Control requirements
  • Translate IAM strategies and direction into actionable, measurable controls
  • In collaboration with Audit and GRC, ensure the alignment of IAM controls across the organization
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to a broad group of stakeholders
  • Work with key stakeholders to demonstrate the effectiveness of IAM controls
  • Stay abreast of information security and IAM regulatory requirements and best practices

Specific duties include:

  • Document and translate business needs into technical requirements for IAM controls, metrics, and solutions
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and monitor service level agreements
  • Engage in user acceptance testing of solutions and services to ensure compliance and trace requirements
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of IAM-related policies, standards and processes
  • Collaborate with Audit and GRC to map internal and external controls to their supporting policies, standards and processes
  • Collect and publish IAM Metrics

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology & Management or related work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience documenting technical design, business requirements, user stories, use cases, requirement traceability Matrix, functional specifications, system requirements and test cases
  • Experience working in an agile environment with tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines
  • Experience in an healthcare payer organization is preferred
  • 3+ Years of experience using the IAM platforms (ie CA, Sailpoint, SecureAuth)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience of working in complex project/program environments
  • Experience of working collaboratively with technical teams to deliver effective client outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills) required
  • Strong negotiation and people skills required
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy required.
