Quantitative Consumer Research Adviser

I am currently recruiting a 12 month fixed term contract for a Quantitative Consumer Research Adviser for the city regulator.

  • The specification and preparation of survey data, especially on our Financial Lives programme, including quality assurance
  • Planning, quantitative analysis and reporting
  • Advising colleagues (and external stakeholders and commentators) on Financial Lives and financial services research in general
  • Contributing to proposals; writing papers or reports for external publication


You will have:

  • Relevant market research agency experience, or has worked as a research practitioner in a client organisation
  • Significant quant research expertise and experience, covering planning analysis/writing tabspecs, fieldwork management, checking data tables, analysis and reporting
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of detailed research data accurately and takes a rigorous approach to ensuring quality of research findings (often produced by external agencies)
  • Able to accurately write up research findings and deliver complex, strategic written communications in line with the organisation's tone e.g. in meetings, written reports, briefings for the Chairman and CEO, presentations
  • Experience of working on tracking studies
  • Familiarity with qualitative and other forms of research (e.g. ethnographic research, mystery shopping)
  • Experience of one or more of the following: financial services research; competitor/competition research; research for another regulator

Job Offer

12 month fixed term contract paying £60,000 - £75,000 PA DOE plus excellent benefits
