Independent Member of Audit and Risk Committee
Fixed-term for three years
- 3 meetings per annum; meetings are held in London.
At English Heritage, we care for over 420 historic buildings, monuments and sites, from world-famous prehistoric places to grand medieval castles; from Roman forts on the edges of the empire to a Cold War bunker. Through these, we bring the story of England to life for over 10 million people each year. Our Non-Executive Trustees and Independent Committee Members bring valuable expertise and strategic insight to help our Executive realise the untapped potential for the organisation.
To that end, we’re seeking an exceptionally high-calibre Independent Member of our Audit and Risk Committee with significant experience of major capital projects and the governance, project-management and risk-management requirements surrounding them. We are flexible about the background of the candidate, but it would be of most relevance to us if they were from the architectural, construction or modern infrastructure sectors. The governance and leadership skills that we expect in all Trustees and Independent Committee Members are obviously also very important.
More information can be found in the attached pack by clicking on Apply. Applications are by CV and covering letter. Our Head of HR, Andrew Kennedy, is more than pleased to talk to potential candidates informally, prior to application. Andrew’s contact details can also be found in the pack. Interviews will be in mid-December 2018.
