A unique and exciting interim opportunity to get involved at leadership level with the development and implementation of Crime policy across London.

You will be asked to manage a team ultimately responsible for delivering the Police and Crime plan, with the expressed intention of preventing and reducing crime. The focus will be on delivering tangible outcomes in a variety of key areas including:

  • Building efficiency and effectiveness within the Criminal Justice system

Working across a partnership of organisations including local authorities, the Mayor’s office, the Metropolitan Police and a number of not-for-profit organisations, you’ll get involved in all aspects of the commissioning cycle: balancing great value for public money with the quality of services needed to make a difference.

You will make sure that the team are fully up to date with key national policy issues across the spectrum of crime management, from the criminal justice system to community safety and policing.

The right applicant will demonstrate clear and obvious recent experience in the field of criminal policy, and will have worked in joint partnerships across the public sector before, with experience of London policy making.
