Our client is one of the leading healthcare groups in the UK, with group turnover approaching £1 billion. The Group is well positioned to grow in the UK healthcare market which is facing significant supply challenges as a result of government budget constraints and increasing demand from a growing population. The ambition is to grow revenue to beyond £1bn over the next five years through a relentless focus on delivering quality clinical care, combined with the expansion of the existing infrastructure, development of new hospitals and optimising private revenue growth.

This is a pivotal point for the group, with a clear opportunity to take advantage of changes in the sector. The incoming candidate will be responsible for establishing, leading and developing a first-class FP&A & business partnering function. As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and working alongside the Group Financial Controller, the FP&A team will drive the performance agenda, providing insight, support and challenge both strategically and tactically; provide clear and consistent business planning; insightful reporting and commentary; M&A support; and financial leadership.

Personally, you will be an intellectually curious qualified accountant and a leader with gravitas, high integrity, capable of establishing great relationships across the business, developing and managing a team and communicating clearly at all times. The ability to think in an agile way and to seamlessly oscillate between the detail and strategic issues is essential. A knowledge of the workings of a Hospital would be seen as a distinct advantage.
