Finance Business Partner
My client is a listed Group that straddles the tech / e-commerce / gaming industries. Their Commercial Finance team is an internal powerhouse, with huge exposure across the business, and supports a division that generated nearly £2bn last year. An internal promotion means we are now seeking to recruit a new Finance Business Partner who will align with the marketing function, and work closely with the relevant Marketing Directors across the Group globally.
This role is instrumental in maximising EBITDA through driving strong cost efficiency and supporting the business in finding opportunities to increase returns on marketing spend. The Finance Business Partner is the primary finance point of contact for MD Marketing, Brand Marketing Directors and their respective leadership teams. You will be in charge of the global quarterly budget and forecasting cycle for marketing opex across the Group (both internal and external). You will be identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency, establish a strong relationship with the Procurement and Commercial Negotiations teams to input into upcoming projects. KPI reporting and providing insightful commentary will also be in your remit, as will delivering input on key commercial and analytical issues and decisions.
The successful candidate will be a CIMA or ACA qualified accountant with an excellent academic record. You will ideally have post qualified experience in an analytical role – if coming from a Professional Services firm, you will be in a Transaction Services team; if in industry, you will be coming from a Commercial Finance / FP&A team. You will have strong attention to detail and be highly numerate. The successful candidate will be results oriented, proactive and intellectually curious. Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills are strongly desired.
