In June this year, TransUnion strengthened its global footprint, through the acquisition of CallCredit one of the largest consumer information providers in the UK. TransUnion’s vision is to continue expanding its market reach in the UK and internationally. The purpose of this role is to bring this ambition to life in the credit card segment, by developing close relationships, strategic business initiatives and partnership opportunities with the major card providers.

Role:

  • Reporting to the Head of International Market Planning, provide subject matter expertise and strategic leadership for the development of specific solutions for the credit card market.
  • Identify and pursue areas of opportunity and execute on the three-year plan for the region to deliver profitable, sustainable growth.
  • Lead strategic and business development engagement with executives from the major card issuers to identify critical business issues and their strategic priorities; using a consultative approach to develop areas of opportunity and position TransUnion as a trusted partner.
  • Work with internal partners to establish priorities, support capacity planning and recommend process, product and service improvements.
  • Support pricing policy, proposition development and strategic sales efforts, working collaboratively with leaders and cross functional teams in strategy, planning, sales and product.

Candidate:

  • In-depth knowledge of credit card market or relevant experience in adjacent areas of consumer finance.
  • Executive leadership experience in product strategy, marketing, analytics and business development, ideally including successful P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop effective relationships, develop breakthrough solutions and influence client executives.
  • Strong analytical and insight driven problem-solving skills. Commercial acumen to successfully drive profitable business growth.
  • Effective leadership and stakeholder engagement and management skills, with the ability to synthesise input from customers, partners, colleagues, regulators and market commentators.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs of activity, develop capability and prioritise the use of internal and external resources.
  • Demonstrable ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, collaborating across teams and functions.
  • Personal flexibility to travel and lead on other commercial initiatives.
