Our client is an international cyber security software company. Over 4,000 customers worldwide are currently using their enterprise class cyber security products and services to keep them safe in the cloud. Their software is found in blue chip companies from the USA to the Far East. Their culture however is very much start-up. They encourage free-thinking and creativity and are constantly challenging the accepted norms of even their own rapidly moving sector. As part of their continued and rapid expansion they now wish to hire a Business Development Manager.

The Business Development Manager will target medium-sized enterprise business across the UK and Ireland. Working closely with marketing, lead generation and presales teams, he or she will manage opportunities from initial customer engagement through bidding and onto closure. The Business Development Manager will also work alongside channel partners, who will deliver the service, to ensure a seamless handover and first-class client satisfaction. Targets are realistic and the Business Development Manager will have genuine influence in shaping the proposition, feeding back into development and marketing teams, and the wider company as it grows.

The successful candidate will have experience of selling new business in an IT, datacoms or telecoms environment but does not need to be an expert in IT security. Ideally applicants will have an understanding of the VAR and other reseller communities and will know how to work with partners to ensure mutual success. He or she will have experience of identifying opportunities and taking them onto successful closure with a track record of achieving sales targets. Applicants need to be highly self-motivated and driven by a desire to provide an exceptional service to their clients and their colleagues. This person will be a true team-player who values integrity and professionalism.
