Senior Project Manager - Model Testing

$110-130K +Bonus

The Project Management Senior role will be part of the Investment and Capital Markets group within the Financial Engineering Department. This role will co-ordinate activity across multiple divisions for integrated model planning and delivery. The projects will range in complexity and this role will be responsible for the planning activities from understanding the business requirements to successful project implementation across the model life cycle including formulation, research and prioritization, development and testing, validation, and deployment. This role will manage scope, schedule, quality, risks and issues, impact on systems, and dependencies across divisions within the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage assigned projects and activities from initiation to close-out
  • Define and track project milestones and project deliverables using appropriate tools while developing, maintaining and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
  • Support the management and planning of all project components including (but not limited to): scope management, development activities, and management of work plans
  • Participate and at times lead cooperative efforts with project team members representing multiple diverse groups and divisions - model owners and developers, business users, independent validators, and financial engineering
  • Manage changes to project scope and schedule, resolve conflicts, and track reasons for the changes
  • Demonstrate ownership of problems, issues, or requests from start to finish; Facilitate appropriate handoffs, but track the item through resolution
  • Report project progress, issues, and risks through periodic status reports
  • Develop, manage, and report on metrics toward achievement of plans/projects
  • Performing additional job-related duties as requested


  • Typically has a minimum of 5 to 7 years of related experience
  • College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.
  • General knowledge of secondary mortgage industry
  • Demonstrated ability to report on project level plans to Technical and Business partners
  • Strong facilitation skills and process-driven analytical skills
  • Software Skills: SharePoint, Microsoft Suite (MS Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Visio)
  • Strong verbal and written skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations/materials to various types of audiences.

Preferred Skills

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Understanding of the best practices used in model development, implementation, and usage
  • Self-directed, with the capability of managing multiple priorities and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
