The Care Inspectorate is responsible for inspecting standards and improving social work and social care in Scotland. Regulating and inspecting care services, they believe that the people of Scotland should experience a better quality of life as a result of accessible, excellent services that are designed and delivered to reflect their individual needs.
As Chief Executive, you will lead the Care Inspectorate to improve the scrutiny of care, protection and social work services whilst developing flexible regulatory practices and improvement activities that focus on and foster a culture of innovation. You will support major and significant changes to the provision of services within community justice and for children, young people, adults and older people. The incumbent will be required to work closely with the Scottish Government to ensure the Care Inspectorate’s legislative framework results in the safeguarding and protection of service users.
We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic leader who brings a strong values-based style of leadership, an understanding of scrutiny and improvement, and a demonstrable track record in a sector related to the Care Inspectorate’s field of work. The successful candidate will also demonstrate experience of delivering a complex and demanding business plan as well as evidence of having worked effectively in a highly political environment.
