Chief Executive Officer
Established in 1998, the NHS Credit Union is owned by their 17,500 members and operates solely for their benefit. They offer a wide range of financial services to NHS employees and their family members across Scotland and the North of England.
The Board of Directors are looking to identify a visionary Chief Executive Officer who will develop strategies and policies to deliver sustainable growth whilst also ensuring compliance in relation to appropriate regulatory requirements. The incumbent will shape and lead the strategic direction of the Credit Union by developing a multi-faceted approach to membership engagement, interaction and growth, focused on developing a wider range of products and services.
Leading by example and adopting a style which inspires, empowers and develops staff, you will ensure effective systems of robust governance, risk management and financial management are in place and regularly reviewed. Embracing and utilising new technology to improve membership engagement, it is imperative the whole organisation retains a strong personal touch.
An innovative and solutions focused leader, you will bring relevant experience of leading a business or function within another credit union or a similar organisation operating within a comparable regulatory environment. With direct experience of leading both the strategic and operational planning processes, the successful candidate will also have a proven track record in developing and maintaining effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
Whilst an understanding of the legislative framework, governance and compliance arrangements applicable to the finance industry is desirable but not essential, a commitment to the ethos of the Credit Union movement and to NHS Credit Union’s values is crucial.
