Highly competitive salary and benefits package

Ref: L10812

Our client is a high growth SME and is established as a market leader in the manufacture of electric drive systems. It supplies customers worldwide and has a strong foothold in the bus, coach, off-highway and utility vehicles marketplace. It manufactures from two sites on a variable batch production basis including bespoke elements and mixed technologies; mechanical, electrical, electronic and software. It is on a steep growth curve and it has an enviable reputation for its design, technical competence and innovation.

This new key role will form part of the senior leadership team and it is focused on driving the manufacturing operations to a world-class status that will support its growth plans. Reporting to the Managing Director you will ensure that the plant operates to the highest standards of quality and reliability with the accent being on the precision assembly of a world-class product that breaks new ground in terms of performance, technology and efficiency. The role calls for a proven manufacturing professional who can demonstrate a successful track record in producing high value precision multiple technology products to world-class specifications. You will need a real ability in change management, have lean and excellent team leadership skills and also have a positive coaching style.

As a graduate engineer your formative training will have been in a large world-class manufacturing company. You will be experienced in batch production and you will also be comfortable with the mix of elements involved, mechanical, electrical, electronic and software and importantly have real experience in a right-first-time, safety critical products manufacturing environment. Experience in off-road, highway, specialist utility vehicles or automotive sectors would be advantageous and you will relish the opportunity of making your mark in an ambitious SME such as this. This is a superb long term career opportunity in a high growth company operating in the green sector and in an exciting area of innovation.

The salary will reflect the high calibre individual required for success in this key role and you will be expected to live within a reasonable commute of South Yorkshire.
