King’s Group Academies is a dynamic Multi-Academy Trust made up of seven schools located in Portsmouth, East Sussex and Bracknell Forest, one due to open in 2019. The Trust’s vision is to expand to over 5,000 pupils and develop best practice hubs, harnessing the global connectivity and expertise offered by its sponsor The King’s Group, which has been operating highly successful British international schools for 50 years.
King’s Group Academies now seeks a passionate and inspiring Chief Executive to grow and develop its network of schools, ensuring that all students are given the confidence and broad horizons to seek careers beyond traditional and national boundaries and thrive in a rapidly changing 21st century world. The appointee will shape the evolution of the Trust as it doubles in size over the next 2 – 4 years, embedding an ethos of collaboration and entrepreneurial infrastructure that draws on best practice from world class schools within and outside The King’s Group.
The new Chief Executive will be a creative and determined leader with a track record of success in managing complexity and effecting positive change. He or she will be a keen strategist, with the intellect and personal authority to lead and grow a dynamic and focused MAT; and the diplomacy and influence to build close connections with The King’s Group and wider partners. The appointee will be flexible, energetic, entrepreneurial and resilient, and will demonstrate a commitment to fostering global perspectives in young people. Prior experience in education is not essential and the Trust welcomes applications from candidates with commercial, charitable, private-sector and public-sector backgrounds.
Completed applications should be uploaded at: https://candidates.perrettlaver.com/vacancies/ quoting reference number 3741. The closing date for applications is 0830hrs BST on Thursday 25th October 2018.
King’s Group Academies is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and the Board expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post.
