Uber is changing the way people think about transportation. Not that long ago they were just an app to request premium black cars in a few metropolitan areas. Now they’re part of the logistical fabric of more than 600 cities around the world. Whether it’s a ride, a sandwich, or a package, they use technology to give people what they want, when they want it.

For the people who drive with Uber, the app represents a flexible new way to earn money. For cities, they help strengthen local economies, improve access to transportation, and make streets safer.

And that’s just what they’re doing today. Uber are thinking about the future, too. With teams working on autonomous trucking and self-driving cars, Uber is in for the long haul. They’re reimagining how people and things move from one place to the next.

Head of Sourcing

Uber have built the foundations of an outstanding recruiting team in the EMEA region and now need a leader to forge a top of the funnel hiring strategy and lead and motivate the team to execute that strategy. Delivering a first class, on-demand transportation experience takes a keen eye for talent, and they need a leader who has a passion to display this skill. Uber’s recruitment team must be able to find the diamonds in the rough, deliver a world class candidate experience, and deliver enough volume to satisfy business demand.

As the Head of Sourcing & University Recruiting, EMEA, you'll help design how Uber find, attract and hire the best Operations, Corporate, Tech and University talent across the region. You will mentor and develop a team of sourcers and build scalable solutions for high growth and high demand functions. This role is both the Art & Science of Sourcing. The Art is Uber’s story and storytelling, their candidate experience and inspirational leadership. The Science is funnel metrics, total addressable market and all those fun dashboards. In other words, you are innovative, but you can operationalize those creative ideas.

Successful candidates will have deep expertise in leading a recruitment or sourcing team with significant experience leading sizeable teams. The ideal candidate will have a track record of building scalable solutions and processes that challenge the art of the possible in attracting talent.  Do you have a natural curiosity about cutting edge technology? Are you an expert at measuring impact? Do you know how to find the best and brightest not only for Uber’s clients, but for their internal recruitment team? If you can, then we would love to hear from you.
