Due to an internal restructure RPS is seeking high quality Finance Directors for newly created business segments.
‘Consulting’ comprises long established businesses that provide environmental; design and development; planning and approvals; project management; safety and risk services; and other consulting services from offices in UK and Ireland. With fees of £120 million and employing 1,650 staff this is a business that continues to grow organically and via acquisition.
‘Services’ provide water services; design and development; laboratory testing; health services; and advisory and management consulting from offices in UK and the Netherlands. With fees of £100 million and employing 1850 staff this is a diverse and dynamic business.
Each Finance Director will be part of the respective leadership teams, report to the CEO of the business and be a statutory director. You will oversee all aspects of the business’s operations, will lead an accounting team and ensure that all required financial information is supplied accurately and on time including statutory accounts. Working with Group Finance you will ensure adherence to reporting requirements and that effective financial controls are in place including compliance with local tax laws.
The Finance Director will provide a business partnering service, including project management support to all operations and ensure that the leadership team understands fully its historic and current trading and its future prospects as well as advising on all material risks in the business. You will contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system as part of a global program of business systems improvement.
The successful candidates will be technically strong with UK GAAP and IFRS and be able to demonstrate skills in management reporting and analysis, cash flow analysis and forecasting as well as financial planning. Commercial awareness and good communication skills are paramount as you will partner with operational management. You will be able to demonstrate success at identifying cost savings and efficiencies, be capable of leading established teams and have large scale systems implementation experiences.
With extensive experience as a Finance Director, preferably in a consulting or other professional services company and with an international dimension you will operate both at a hands on and a strategic level, offering a commercial, analytical and intelligent approach.
