Director of Services
Celebrating its 225th anniversary this year, Royal Blind is the world’s oldest national institution for blind people which serves children and adults. To support an ambitious programme of change focused on increasing the organisation’s overall impact, Royal Blind is now looking to recruit the newly created role of Director of Services.
The role will assume responsibility for the strategic development and ongoing operational success of Royal Blind’s current suite of services encompassing Education, Adult & Children’s residential services and Older People’s services, whilst also developing future services.
Supporting the Chief Executive and Board, you will work closely with fellow senior managers to increase collaboration and effectiveness in relation to inter-dependencies across the organisation. Working as a core part of the Senior Management Team, there will be a focus on developing strategic partnerships and continuously improving approaches in order to achieve better outcomes in co-production with service users.
You will be an inspiring, solutions focused and forward-thinking leader with relevant experience delivering high quality and person-centred services. You will also have a proven track record of successful strategic and operational resource management. With the ability to establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at a senior and strategic level, it is also imperative you can demonstrate previous involvement in building capacity and developing and leading high performance multidisciplinary teams.
This role will provide the successful candidate with a rare opportunity within the third sector in Scotland to play a key part in an inspirational story which links a long and proud history to modern cutting-edge services and support.
