This leadership role will appeal to a proven growth orientated COO who can bring a track record of success to this award-winning SME which is private equity-backed and has considerable scope for profitable organic growth in its specialist marketplace. Medium sized and operating from one site, it provides a broad ranging design, build and fit-out service to a diverse and interesting client base and it has an international reputation for its creativity, innovation and the client solutions it provides. It manufactures on a project basis with variable batch sizes, utilising a variety of materials and it has real strengths in-depth in both its creative and build capabilities. 

Its clients include leading brands and well-known names across many sectors including heritage, leisure, commercial, attraction, retail and hospitality to name some and its potential for growth in these and other markets both in the UK and internationally is significant. There is an experienced team in place and reporting to the business founder, the focus of the role is to bring leadership, organisation and a direction of travel that will deliver profitable growth for the business. 

A highly impressive, graduate qualified candidate with the commercial and operational intelligence, gravitas, leadership and brand building qualities is required. You will have built an impressive career to date in high quality companies and currently be operating at COO or at a similar level in an SME environment which has similar characteristics. You will be able to cover all bases; including business development, manufacturing, operations and importantly project delivery and experience in fit-out, interiors, design and build projects and through bespoke manufacturing are all potentially interesting. 

You will enjoy building relationships with clients, be comfortable working with high performing creative teams and have the ability to bring structure, processes and systems into the project delivery and completion cycle that are best in class. Experience of working with a private equity investor or in a private group is also advantageous and you will receive significant support and scope to deliver on your growth strategy. The package includes an attractive base salary, an incentive plus LTIP package based on agreed KPI’s relating to profitability and growth.

You will be expected to live within a reasonable commute of the Yorkshire area. A1/M62 axis.
