My client is a globally established business that are looking to launch [and eventually move their HQ] into the UK. They have a number of highly successful products in their portfolio, including a cashback solution and messaging service. They are an incredibly fast paced, ever changing business and they need staff who are comfortable with the only constant being change. They hire people with a growth mind set who are ambitious, innovative and 'doers'. Although they have c.1,200 employees globally, they have little footprint in the UK, so this Product Owner will be one of the first hires here in London. This is a unique opportunity to join a business in its infancy.
The Product Owner will be developing a new product from scratch, the concept exists but the launch and development of this new platform will be down to the successful candidate to lead. At the moment there is not a management structure in place in the UK, so this person will be working with the remote development teams in S.Africa, Sweden and Austria and the Board in Austria, with the view to hire a development team locally in the future. Daily stand-ups will be done remotely and the vision is that this Product Owner can start to upskill the international team around them as well. Based in London.
This is one of the most important UK hires my client is looking to make, so we are looking for a high calibre, experienced Product Owner who is happy to be decisive and work autonomously whilst the UK business is building. As you will be developing a product from scratch, we need someone who understands Lean and Agile methodologies and can apply these principles to this service. You will ideally have a understanding of the importance and use of User Research in the product development cycle and will be able to take the feedback/research on board to utilise it fully. My client currently has a lack of expertise in User Research so they are looking for this person to assist in the upskilling of the international team in this area as well.
We cannot highlight enough how fast paced and ever changing our client's environment is, so we need someone who is comfortable working in this type of business. As the world around evolves, my client does as well. This is a London based role.
