Exciting Opportunity in a pan-African, Multinational Conglomerate

Our client, Dangote Industries Limited, is a leading pan-African, diversified industrial group that is rapidly expanding its sectorial and international footprint - with stakes in food & agro-processing, cement, fertiliser, power, oil and gas. The Group has enjoyed significant growth over the years and accordingly is currently undertaking the construction of the world’s largest Single-Train Petroleum Refinery in Lagos, Nigeria.

In line with its growth aspirations, the Group is seeking to appoint top-of-the-class individual with the requisite skills and experience to fill the Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) role.

Group Chief Financial Officer

The Group CFO will be required to provide strategic and operational direction/ leadership for the Group’s financial planning and management, and ensure the integrity of all accounting consolidation and reporting activities. The Group CFO will be a senior finance professional, responsible for providing oversight to the finance functions of the subsidiary companies, and ensuring institutionalization of the finance function across the Group.

Reporting to the Group Managing Director (GMD), the Group CFO will provide strategic support in driving financial performance and will play a pivotal role in formulating financial strategies for the Group.

About You

It is expected that you possess a first degree and a relevant professional qualification (chartered accountant – ACA, ACCA, CPA or its equivalent) as well as proven experience as a CFO in a large & growing business preferably in an emerging market.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a strategic thinker with high level of commercial acumen and exceptional ability to manage internal and external stakeholders. You will need to possess strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire, manage and build a high-performing organisation.
