The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for ensuring the management of flow of materials and goods through the company.

They will also organise the safe and efficient storage and distribution of goods and ensure orders are satisfied correctly and finished products are delivered on time.

Description

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure the warehouse promotes a safe working environment & 5S standards are maintained
  • Implement and adhere to Health and Safety standards and safe systems of work
  • Oversee the movement, distribution and storage of materials in the company
  • Control the flow of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to ensure customers (external & internal) receive products on time
  • Oversee all warehouse operations, inventory control and material handling
  • Manage external warehouse and storage of goods off off site
  • Coordinate drivers schedules, vehicles, loads and off loads for smooth levelled dispatching & goods in process
  • Negotiate and agree existing and new contracts
  • Management & development of a team of Logistics Operators and distribution of Warehouse related job functions
  • Ensure that all employees operating within the Warehouse function understand their responsibilities to the Company, the Customer and each other and the importance of accurate and timely actions
  • Maintain & Audit Warehouse / Logistic team against adherence to working standards
  • Visualise KPI status

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Extensive experience of Warehousing / Logistics preferably within the automotive industry
  • Experience of supply chain management
  • Supply Chain qualification desirable
  • Strong organisational skills and a systems approach
    • Good mathematical skills
    • Experience of leading and influencing teams
    • Good negotiating and influencing skills
    • Flexibility for business requirements for week end work and stock takes as necessary

Job Offer

£40,000 - £45,000 + benefits
