Recycled Plastics Manufacturer
A hands-on sales leadership role delivering profitable growth in UK and export markets and new product introductions.
Based North West/West M62 corridor
Attractive salary, car, bonus and benefits
This is a new role within this organisation and a first-class opportunity for a proven sales specialist with a background in B2B sales to join the senior leadership team of a well-established, privately-owned and market-leading SME.
The company is a specialist manufacturer which processes plastic waste and converts this into a broad range of products for a wide spectrum of markets and customers. Customers include utilities, civils contractors, building and construction, agricultural product manufacturers and specialist fabricators.
The organisation has an expanding presence throughout Europe, Middle East and the rest of the world which it wishes to actively develop. The business is profitable and financially strong with well defined core values based upon honesty and integrity, teamwork, performance, personal accountability and customer focus. The successful candidate will be expected to reflect and encourage these core values.
The selling process is predominantly via direct channels with some through third parties. It has a broad platform of customers and there is significant potential for further growth over the next 3-5 years. This is a new role reporting to the CEO and the successful candidate will be responsible for driving profitable sales through the leadership of an external sales team with support from a central internal sales team.
You will deliver an agreed sales plan for the company, drive sales through existing customers, identify new product and market opportunities, and grow exports. Graduate qualified, you will be a sales management professional on an upward curve in your career seeking a long-term opportunity.
Ideally trained by a world-class manufacturer, you will have progressed into SME environments, with experience of selling materials or finished products into B2B markets. You will have relevant experience in managing and leading high performing sales teams, whilst enjoying the hands-on customer interface expected in an SME manufacturer.
With regard to specific product experience the client is open-minded on this with plastics, specialist materials or products, components or possibly chemicals all being potentially interesting.
You will be a strong leader and motivator, bring a positive enthusiasm to the role, be willing to learn, improve and adapt and have a “can-do” attitude.
The role will be based at the company’s head office in the North West. You will be expected to live within a reasonable commute of the West M62 corridor.
On offer is a competitive and comprehensive salary and benefits package.
