Its highly flexible venue solutions are used by a wide range of blue chip clients and the company has built a reputation as a brand synonymous with excellent customer service and hospitality standards.
In line with its strategic growth plan to expand the successful UK model into the US, the business partnered with new US investors in June 2018. The business has recently appointed a COO (who was previously the PE investor representative in the business) and is looking to recruit a new CFO to complete the Senior Management Team of CEO, COO and CFO.
The new CFO will need drive, ambition and a high level of commercial acumen, a broad range of skills and a real appetite to rise to the challenge and opportunity presented by a business expanding domestically and internationally. They will need to be equally comfortable operating at board level and also down in the detail, with an instinctive ability to balance risk and reward and be able to quickly and sensibly assess matters from a combined commercial reality, financial control and entrepreneurial risk perspective.
The CFO will participate as a key member of the executive management team, with an overall and continuous focus on ensuring that the business as a whole has all of the necessary processes, controls and support (both financial and operational) required to enable and foster growth. The position will report to the COO, who will be responsible for the UK business as the CEO will be pioneering the model in the US.
Ideal candidates will be qualified accountants with extensive PQE and experience at a senior level. Previous exposure to the US and/or to Private Equity will be an advantage although not necessary. Candidates can be sector agnostic but multi-site with international experience would be preferable.
Crucial will be an inquisitive mind, a challenging approach and great communication skills with a strong ability to contribute across the business in areas outside of finance.
