My client is an established managed IT services provider working in the cyber security space. They are experiencing rapid growth, driven both by market conditions and also their unparalleled delivery capability and innovative technologies. This company operates at the leading edge of their sector and has a proposition that has proven to be compelling to FTSE 250 companies. Due to their expansion they now wish to hire someone to lead the strategic development of their channel sales activity.

The Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for the development of channel sales through resellers, system integrators and other value added service providers. He or she will design the commercial arrangements and partner onboarding process, as well as identify key partners to develop relationships with. The Channel Sales Manager will ensure partners are fully trained and supported and will develop a channel sales team to provide continued growth to the channel programme. The role will require an individual who really wants to own the channel sales activity from top to bottom.

The successful candidate will have solid channel sales and alliances background gained in an IT, managed services or similar environment, ideally with a knowledge of cyber security products and services. Proven experience of establishing, or significantly developing, a channel sales framework and of engaging with alliance partners and resellers is required, as is the ability to evangelise the channel strategy. This person will become the channel partner’s champion in the business. This is a rapidly growing business, so candidates will need to be agile on their feet and used to working in a constantly changing, ambiguous environment. Above all we are looking for a team player, able to bring new skills to the table and work with my client’s existing world-class individuals.
