Group Managing Director required for Market Leading, Luxury Branded, Yorkshire Based Manufacturer:The Company.Multi-site, family owned, luxury branded Manufacturing business, tightly connected to its local community and steeped in rich cultural history. Group turnover is £45m, and total number of staff is 270 people, length of service is high and staff turnover is very low. A Manufacturing business which is proud of its Northern Heritage but equally proud of its' International presence. The Key Responsibilities & Deliverables.This is a Group Managing Director position with multiple 'on-site' Managing Directors reporting in to it. The successful incumbent will drive the overall direction for the Group and will be responsible for the delivery of the 5-year plan. The Group consists of multiple businesses. Each has their own Managing Director, and whilst they all service the same industry, they are vastly different in terms of business function, size, day to day challenges, and the attention they require. An ability to prioritise, and multi-task is imperative, this is a varied and complex role. As Group Managing Director you will be the final escalation point for staff internally and will lead all Group MDs plus senior staff. As Group Managing Director you will oversee all dealings with banks and auditors and will lead Quarterly Board meetings as well as Budgets and Business Plan review meetings.As the role and company evolves you will also lead on any potential Sales & Acquisitions. The Individual.The successful applicant will ideally be a proven leader from the Manufacturing Industry or similar.We are specifically looking for Managing Directors who have experience of leading similar multi-site / multi-company businesses; and can therefore demonstrate experience in juggling and prioritising many situations. We are specifically looking for an individual who is highly literate in business accounting.The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of legal matters.You will ideally have a high level of production/sales knowledge, and trading.Heading up a group of companies dealing with high end international customers it is essential that you are professional, calm and controlled and have the requisite 'presence'. Team building, leading and exceptional man-management is crucial.The position does require a sharp individual who is a high level 'thinker' though the role will be very hands on. The Managing Directors of each business are highly experienced senior professionals.
