Business Development Manager - Relationship Manager - Sales - Capital
A Business Development Manager is required by my client, a world leading exchange to join their Equity Capital Markets team. The responsibility of this team is to develop relationships with fast-growth private businesses and advise them on the opportunities that would be afforded to them by going public.
The major challenge of the role is the amount of travel involved. The successful candidate will spend 1 day in the London Office, spending the rest of the week meeting and networking with potential clients, who will be spread over the North and Scotland.
The right candidate for this position will have solid experience in business development/relationship management, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the capital markets and preferably of funding.
My client is willing to consider candidates at a wide range of salaries for this position. Despite being a sales role, the compensation package will be a standard basic + bonus, rather than a commission structure. This is because the function of this role is to foster highly consultative, long-lasting relationships and so they are looking to avoid a situation in which long-term goals are impeded by immediate targets.
- Solid experience in a business development or relationship management role
- Solid understanding of the capital markets world, with a strong preference for knowledge of funding
- Must be open to regular travel throughout the North and Scotland
