Client Details

A well established Automotive provider is actively looking for a dynamic Head of Fleet Services to oversee their Wiltshire based operation in Calne. With fantastic opportunities to progress within their network they are offering a dedicated individual an opportunity to take ownership of their own operation with full budgetary responsibility.

Description

The Head of Fleet Services will be accountable for:

  • Own and take responsibility for any issues with any area of service delivery relating to Central Operations activity
  • Instill collaborative working practices with your peer group and wider business
  • Drive continuous improvement in metric and cost performance
  • Responsible for customer focused service delivery

Financial/Commercial Cost Control

  • Effectively manage and review dealer running costs reviewing P&L versus plan and developing cost action plans to address variances to support P&L control
  • Formally review third party versus own shop performance and quality standards
  • Actively manage cost improvement through delivering to budgeted costs
  • Work closely with Fleet Maintenance Managers to ensure that all operating costs are kept in line with
  • Ensure the timely execution within ENRICH of closing and approving work orders
  • Ensure billable cost risk is managed centrally with supporting evidence through FMM field team
  • Own & disseminate commercial intelligence underpinning operational cost activity under control

Maintenance Standards

  • Provision of a fit for purpose supplier management team centrally in line with supplier requirements
  • Ensure effective use of ENRICH and standard time implementation and adherence
  • Ensure team scorecard results for service standards and cost control are maintained and improved
  • Identify dealer improvements in conjunction with FMM team and Finance Business Partner
  • Make commercial decisions relating to maintenance decisions at stages of vehicle life or contract life in order to support P&L performance. Be conversant with all individual customer requirements
  • Overall responsibility for 24/7 - 365 day operations team in the National Breakdown Centre
  • Ensure strategic vision is delivered and core objectives fulfilled
  • Coach management team for cost and customer management performance

Profile

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the Head of Fleet Services position will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Have a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain, Customer service and Finance background
  • Experienced in managing teams of 50+ people
  • Have workshop/engineering experience
  • Be degree educated - Desirable
  • Be CPC qualified - Desirable
  • Have great commercial awareness
  • Have worked within a customer facing role previously - Advantageous
  • A proven track record of building and managing successful teams
  • Be proficient with IT systems including all Microsoft packages
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Be commutable to Wiltshire

The hours of work for this role are:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 08:30 - 17:00

Job Offer

A salary of £50,000 - £60,000 PHC/Pension/Bonus 25 Days and Bank Holidays
