Finance Director - Dual Seal Glass
Dual Seal Glass is a Yorkshire success story. From a standing start, in 1995, they are now the UK’s leading, independent, processor of high performance vision and insulated spandrel glass panels for the construction industry. They work with clients Nationally but local examples of their expertise can be seen at Trinity Leeds, Wakefield Westgate, York Council and The University of Huddersfield.
Following 12 months of expansion and investment, the business is very well placed to take advantage of new opportunities in the market and they are looking for an ambitious Finance Director to join them on the next phase of their journey.
The successful candidate will partner with the MD and senior team to help drive the commercial and strategic conversation whilst also weaving financial control and understanding through the business in an enthusiastic and collaborative manner. The Finance Director must be able to bring additional commercial and strategic bandwidth to the senior management team whilst also maintaining a hands-on familiarity with the financial detail of the company.
This role will have a direct impact on the bottom line by increasing internal efficiencies as well as facilitating a more rapid and commercially rigorous assessment of new opportunities for growth. With sound and meaningful analysis of the financial information you will be able to ensure that the entrepreneurial nature of the organisation continues to flourish by empowering colleagues with your insightful MI.
The successful candidate will have a broad but stable background with experience in a manufacturing environment. You must be a qualified accountant and demonstrate a nimble, commercially focused and collaborative approach. Your accounting skills should be a given. Your ability to help unlock, control and focus the growth of a business will be very important and this will be keenly investigated at interview.
Interpersonally, candidates must be credible, enthusiastic and well-rounded. You will be a confident communicator and able to develop relationships at every level within the organisation. Working closely with the MD you will quickly become a key sounding board for innovative ideas and your proactive approach will help forge a solid working relationship in the years to come.
To identify and reward successful long-term behaviours, the Company is keen for the Finance Director to have the opportunity of equity in the business. It is expected that this LTIP will evolve over time and will likely be preceded by a more standard reward scheme based around personal and EBITDA objectives.
