We are recruiting for a business to business SME company with around a £10million turnover in the South East.
They are seeking a Sales Director who is ambitious and energetic to lead the business into and through a period of growth. Existing customers are across the UK and Europe. This B2B business offers tried and tested corporate products and service led solutions combined with a thorough aftermarket proposition and a strong brand.
The main focus for the Sales Director will be to manage the sales function of the business, ensuring revenue targets are met, profitability is there and a high level of customer care is present. The successful candidate will have developed their career via the sales route. Ideally, they will have a detailed understanding of working in a multi-channel business and probably come from an international group structure.
They will be data driven and analytical; able to demonstrate they have used data to make business critical decisions. Other attributes like being a well-rounded commercial individual who can demonstrate experience of developing sales and marketing strategies which target different consumer groups (SME and Corporate) and account planning including contact strategy.
Experience of managing and implementing change successfully, with the ability to communicate a clear, strategic sales vision, effectively training and coaching of the team is essential.
An absolute requirement is experience in a "tangible product" led sales business, selling directly to the end user (B2B) at this level. Another is the understanding of a digital strategy. Please note applications without these key criteria cannot be considered.
