Chief Executive Officer
Mayor's Fund for London
The Mayor's Fund is a social mobility charity, which exists to create opportunities for disadvantaged children in London to get out of poverty and play a full role in the future of our city. Our trustees share a passion for improving the lives of young Londoners and levelling the playing field in our diverse city. We have been around for about 10 years and we are ambitious for the future, as there is so much still to be done, despite the progress we have made.
We are looking for a new Chief Executive to take us on the next stage of our journey. Someone who shares our dissatisfaction with the current level of inequality in London and our passion for creating opportunities for young people. Someone who will work effectively with City Hall to drive collaborative projects with the GLA and other partners. Someone who will develop our team and leverage the networks of our trustees to maximise our impact.
We do not have a preset idea about the type of person who will be our next Chief Executive. We are especially keen to get applications which reflect the diversity (in every sense) of the city we serve.
The ideal candidates will have experience of being Chief Executive or senior leader of a self-standing organisation, of leading and developing a team and of leading the development of a charitable or social impact strategy.
We are keen to meet outstanding candidates from any background with energy, dynamism, creativity and a passion for social impact.
