Our client is a well run charity with a turnover around £3M and a strategy and funding to grow, staffed by great people who are passionate about the work they do. They now require a suitable Finance & Resources Director with the ability to make a real difference.
The role reports to the CEO and manages a small team who look after finance and most of the other "back office" functions. This role is a key member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for the design, delivery and monitoring of the organisation's strategy and finances as well as managing the day to day operation of the organisation.
In addition, the role provides key business partnering to the SMT who, through the CEO, are accountable to the Trustee Board. Consequently they are seeking a hands-on strategic thinker who can also get into the detail. The role is responsible for all aspects of planning, control, stewardship and compliance in the context of the whole organisation as well as specific responsibilities for finance, property, HR, IT and management information.
The ideal candidate will be a team leader, passionate about performance delivery, whilst never losing sight of the aims of the organisation. You will be a qualified accountant, commercially astute and capable of operating at Board level. You must be able to demonstrate career progression and be a competent communicator.
