The Royal Free Charity comprises three local charities, the Royal Free Charity, Barnet Hospital Charity and Chase Farm Charity.  Now is an exciting time to join us as we are seeking a Director of Finance to join our senior team, driving the diversification and broader strategic direction of the charity; a strategy that includes building a new state of the art research facility, key worker accommodation and a patient hotel service. The construction of the £60m Pears Building is a high-profile investment and this flag-ship building will be the new home of the Charity and the UCL Institute of Immunity and Transplantation, a world-class research facility.

The Charity provides a number of key services throughout North London as well as supporting both innovative research and the day-to-day requirements at the Royal Free. We enable medical progress which has a positive effect on the patient experience and leads to genuine and lasting improvements in care. Every year we fund over £15million of research and improvements to the hospital.

Each and every penny donated to us is used to improve patient care. We do everything we can to make patients’ experience as positive as it can be, and we are absolutely determined to make a real difference to peoples' lives.

You will be an experienced and fully qualified senior finance professional with strategic level expertise. A collaborative leader with high emotional intelligence and good interpersonal skills, you will not only be adept at leading and securely delivering a robust financial plan but able to work across the organisation to leverage the overall performance of the charity.

This is a fast growth and developing charity and the role will enhance what we can do to help the wellbeing and health of patients.

For an informal and confidential discussion about the role, please contact our advising consultant Joanna Thornton at Gatenby Sanderson on 020 7426 3972.

Closing date for applications is Monday 16th July at 10 am.
