The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) exists to deliver justice - working with partners at the heart of the criminal justice system to protect the public and create a safe society. Since we were established just over 30 years ago we have secured more than 27 million convictions – and made huge progress as an organisation.

The CPS is looking for a Non-Executive Member for our advisory Board, starting from January 2019. The non-executive will work with the Director of Public Prosecutions (Chair) and CEO, alongside the three existing non-executives, to provide an external perspective, challenge and support the work of the executive management as appropriate.

This individual will be expected to additionally Chair the CPS Audit and Risk Committee. Accordingly, individuals with experience of this function, whether in an executive or non-executive capacity, are particularly encouraged to apply.

Experience of the criminal justice system or the public sector is not essential. We are looking for candidates with experience of leading organisations through today’s challenges and a commitment to our purpose and values. In return we promise you an insight into an organisation that deals with some of the difficult issues that we as a society face today – and that you will meet and learn from hugely committed and professional staff who are all dedicated to delivering justice.

Further information, the candidate pack, and details of how to apply may be found here: https://publicappointments.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/appointment/non-executive-board-member-10/. If you have any questions about this role, please contact Moloney Search, our recruitment partner: NED-CPS@moloneysearch.com. The closing date for applications is 18th June 2018.
