Buckinghamshire County Council

Director of Property & Assets

Buckinghamshire is a county with rich diversity, ranging from rural areas of outstanding beauty, to rapidly advancing urban centres with ambitious economic growth objectives.

The Council is undergoing considerable transformation, with particular focuses on driving high value regeneration across the county, realising efficiencies under a one-council ethos and, importantly, delivering high quality and customer centric public services for residents.

The Property function is of strategic importance and will be a significant facilitator of county wide development, operating savings and income generation. This role will be responsible for moving the organisation to a corporate landlord model, whilst also devising a compelling asset management strategy. This plan will put customers at the heart of its strategy and the post-holder will also have the bandwidth to drive innovative property solutions and commercial transactions that will deliver substantial returns for the council.

We are seeking an ambitious property leader with strategic and active asset management experience, either gained from a public or private sector organisation (or consultancy/service provider) of appropriate scale. This individual should be a strong leader of people, whilst also possessing highly adept relationship building and stakeholder management skills.

To apply, you will be required to provide an up to date CV and cover letter (of no more than 2 pages). Informal enquiries can be directed to HAYS Executive on +44(0)207 259 8743.
