Director, Head of Business Finance - Insurance
The organisation is a true leader in global financial services and, its business activities traverse across all aspects of banking, broking and insurance.
Due to rapid business expansion and ongoing strategic reviews, the firm seek to hire an experienced Director to join the Insurance division and take a leadership role in shaping the Financial Planning and Analysis function.
The role will be extremely high profile. Reporting into the Insurance group CFO the successful candidate will take ownership for delivering key financial information (via FPA) to the business. Moreover, the role will also own the control and reporting around all liquidity and capital management, ensuring that the Insurance entities across all jurisdictions have resources allocated adequately and in-line with risk and capital management policy and, regulatory expectations.
Thirdly, the Director will have responsibility for second line "financial control" of actuarial assumptions and calculations. Robust controls and infrastructure must be maintained and continually assessed to ensure best practice is achieved.
This is an exciting but challenging role. The role will require interested candidates to demonstrate an understanding of the Insurance sector alongside excellent experience around maintaining accounting and controls processes.
Alongside the technical nature of this role, the Director candidate will own three teams committed to the delivery of the above needs of the role. The Director candidate will also play a key role in managing the expectations of a wide range of internal and external stakeholders such as CEOs, CROs, chief Actuaries and Chief Investments Officers, globally.
Thus, it will be imperative the successful candidate can demonstrate strong leadership credentials and a track record of engaging C-suite clients/stakeholders and delivering results in line with the divisions ongoing business strategy.
