We are working with a private equity firm who have an excellent track record to date. They are seeking a Fund Accountant to report directly into the Finance Director and take ownership over the fund accounting and operations of their Private Equity funds.
The firm is continuing to grow; headcount has grown rapidly over the last five years and funds are performing well. With 50% of capital still to invest in their current fund and a goal to start fundraising their next by 2019, they are looking to take on a qualified accountant with the intention for the appointee to grow with the firm.
This position sits beneath the Finance Director, and alongside the accountants that work on their non-Private Equity funds. Responsibilities are broad, and will only continue to increase in complexity as the firm raises new funds.
Duties will include:
- Take ownership of the financial accounting and operations around the Private Equity funds
- Review accounts and statements prepared by external fund administrators
- Handle payments and costs for the funds
- Transfers of interests
- Handling investor queries
- Involvement in investor due diligence and investor relations
Candidates will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and UK private equity experience is essential: whether as clients (via audit or as a fund administrator), or experience from within a private equity firm. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of private equity fund structures, and possess strong communication skills.
