A senior leadership role which exists to drive high standards of commercial finance, controls and financial reporting across the Group and to effect a strong business partnering environment.
This is an "all round" role with varied responsibilities. Initially you will be expected to engage with the responsibilities of PLC and the finance function that handles essential value add services for the Group and its divisions. We are looking for leadership and drive in treasury and funding, group reporting, Coda system administration, system optimisation, investment approvals, fixed asset management and standard compliance and control systems. You will work with the PLC finance team to drive improvements, enable strong governance and deliver an effective and enabling finance operation to the Group.
You will effect a high standard of group reporting for all routine monthly accounts, KPI's, forecasting and budgeting processes. Being both an ally and a challenger to the Divisional Finance teams you will examine and investigate the commercial performance of the Division and ensure all reporting is robust and sound. All group consolidated reporting will be communicated clearly to the Group Finance Director for Executive team and Group Board review. You will collaborate with teams, and you will champion a high standard of communications around reports and KPI's used by a variety of stakeholders, ensuring reporting is relevant to the entities objectives and understood with clarity by its users.
As a senior member of the team in a successful PLC business, you will work closely with the Group Finance Director, the Executive team, the Company Secretary and all the Finance teams to ensure financial and governance objectives are delivered. On an adhoc basis you are expected to provide sound financial analysis and appraisal of the organisation's strategic initiatives and this will include modelling for business growth opportunities, and providing a sound commercial evaluation. You will be a motivational manager able to co-create solutions and upskill the finance team, to provide expertise and resource in new business initiatives and new projects that may require hands on PLC support until permanent solutions are found.

The ideal candidate will ideally have previous experience of working in a senior finance position within in the manufacturing sector, with considerable experience of bringing commercial insight to senior stakeholders.
You will be a diplomatic, engaging individual looking to promote collaboration in a tight knit team, equally happy to communicate with junior as well as senior stakeholders.
What's on Offer
The successful candidate for this Head of Finance role based in Cumbria will receive a salary of £60,000 - £75,000 dependent on experience, as well as a competitive benefits package.
