If so you may be the next Programme Director at the Department for Work and Pensions. If appointed to the role, then your first assignment will be to lead our newly established Health Transformation Programme – a high profile, key strategic leadership role responsible for driving forward reforms to the welfare system and service improvements to citizens.
The Health Transformation Programme is responsible for the design and build of new and significantly changing capabilities in support of outcomes across a range of disciplines, including commercial, digital, estates and operations. It is a major, complex and challenging programme.
Whilst a project professional qualification is not essential, to succeed in this role you must be able to demonstrate that you have high levels of personal resilience and are able to make big decisions. You will need to be an experienced strategic leader and senior manager who is able to demonstrate a record of managing large-scale projects and programmes within a complex stakeholder environment.

Please note that the role can be based in any of the DWP regional hub locations but will involve frequent travel to London. Regular National travel will be required, with specific focus on London, Leeds and Newcastle.
