Our strategic plan sets out a clear vision to increase the volume, quality and impact of our research. One of our key strengths is the ability to work effectively across academic disciplines to deliver significant impact and game-changing initiatives. In order to ensure we deliver on new and bold ideas, we wish to recruit two Major Research Initiative Managers who will focus on cross-institutional research opportunities that require a high degree of collaboration with industry partners. Working with the University’s academic community and the research and innovation support network this new team will help identify these game changing opportunities and put programmes in place to ensure we deliver on them.
Managing the delivery of programmes in complex cross-functional environments within multi-disciplinary teams, candidates will be capable negotiators and be able to articulate propositions to demanding stakeholders, influencing thinking at the most senior levels. You will be adept at developing business cases and ensure that there is clear organisation and senior accountability for the delivery of academically led research initiatives.
