Our client, a Fortune 500 organisation, is a global leader in its field with profit generating revenues in excess of $6bn. 

Due to continued growth, this Division has been separated to be stand alone and this newly created role will enhance governance and assist the business to focus on maximising opportunity available in the market.

The Divisional Financial Controller will be responsible for the accounting, control and reporting activities for the assigned business segment within the EMEA Region. The Divisional Financial Controller leads and directs the proper financial governance of the division and will act as a trusted partner to the Head of Division and other senior decision-makers within this operational division of the EMEA Region. You will also contribute to the strategic planning activity of the division. Reporting directly to the EMEA Group controller, responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the EMEA Controller via oversight and ownership of the financial control, accounting compliance, financial audit, including adherence to S-Ox control certification for assigned business segments within the EMEA Region
  • Supporting the EMEA Controller to deliver on monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process and reporting requirements
  • Oversight and management of assigned business unit accounting teams within the EMEA Region
  • Coordination with local and business line finance teams as appropriate

This key appointment offers an excellent entry point to the Group. In addition, they anticipate this role will be a natural successor to the EMEA Controller position so medium term promotion opportunity exists.

A graduate, qualified accountant, you will have demonstrable technical and governance experience and an individual bringing project / contract accounting knowledge will have an advantage.

Critically, you will have well developed interpersonal skills which confirm you as a reliable and trusted adviser / business partner, capable of influencing at all levels and with a portfolio of relationships to support your claim.
