I am recruiting a Manager/Senior Manager Conduct Oversight Regulation for a UK bank.

You will be instrumental in deciding where in the business our reviews will be focused, based on an understanding of the emerging external regulatory environment and the key regulatory and conduct risks presented by the bank. Your role will be to co-ordinate the delivery of these reviews by the team and provide guidance and support as required. You will also complete reviews yourself which will develop your knowledge of the business and take you into all parts of organisation, whether that be spending time in our branch network, call centres or business banking centres.

The role is about working collaboratively with different parts of the business to identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes and influence activity across the bank to align with the organisation's Policies and Values, whilst also reflecting changing regulatory expectations. You will need to develop strong relationships with the business to understand and respond to changes to the business model and understand how these changes align with regulation.

Good stakeholder management skills are really important as you will be responsible for landing reports with senior executive and providing support to other members of the team to ensure findings are clearly articulated and understood. You will be responsible for quality control to maintain consistently high standards across the team which will require attention to detail and clarity of written communications


Ideally, you'll currently have these skills and experience:

  • A broad knowledge of financial regulation, preferably with experience in an Oversight or Audit team at a bank or at one of our regulators.
  • An inquisitive mind.
  • Excellent report drafting and time management skills - able to co-ordinate the production of multiple reports to tight timeframes
  • Brilliant at influencing and the ability to build strong relationships with internal partners
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Job Offer

£50,000 - £85,000 PA DOE plus excellent benefits
