Our client is a leading British food group who supply private label chilled foods to the UK Grocery market. Due to promotion, they are looking to appoint a Commercial Director for one of their business units

The Role:

  • Reporting directly to the Business Unit Managing Director with dotted line to group functions, you will own the commercial agenda for your BU.
  • Will lead and mentor a team with 6 direct reports through both a hands-on and strategic approach to management.
  • Will utilise group sales, marketing, technical and supply functions in a matrix environment to deliver exceptional service and performance levels.
  • Will work closely alongside customers to develop strong commercial relationships to ensure group and joint business plans are achieved.

The Person:

  • Degree educated you will have significant experience managing a commercial relationship with a UK grocery account.
  • Customer centric/ focussed, you will be used to developing close working customer relationships with the ability to prove you can increase profitable revenue streams.
  • Would suit a hands on blue-chip trained executive looking for their first autonomous, commercial rounded leadership position.
