Director of IT
The two roles will be distinct from one another but will collaborate in many areas. Both roles will report to the Managing Partner.
The existing Director of IT will be taking on a role which will be more geared towards “client technology”. In line with the market, there is a considerable amount of effort and resource being geared towards the development of innovative, client focused, technology driven tools to enhance the service being delivered by law firms to their clients and this firm has decided to create a distinct role with this focus.
This role will be responsible for delivering a first class infrastructure and service to the firm. Its focus is on the delivery of operational excellence – to ensure systems are secure, robust, reliable and properly supported and meet the day-to-day needs of all users; to minimise system 'downtime' and ensure prompt and effective response whenever and wherever problems do arise. It will manage a very sizeable team and will be responsible for ensuring this team is cohesive and, collectively and as individuals, focused on providing the highest standards of service to users both in the technology they use and the day to day support they receive. It will also be accountable for two significant outsourced functions.
This role is seen as critical to an international firm which continues to grow and which sees technology as being at the heart of excellent service delivery in a market which is changing day to day.
