Senior Category Manager
Responsible for setting the strategy for the category and implementing plans for your team to adhere to. The role also suits somebody who has a high technical knowledge and wide spread experience in and around the IT Category.

Must combine market knowledge with deep understanding of existing supplier agreements and business requirement to draw up sourcing and supply chain strategies.
Building and cultivating relationships with business colleagues both internally and externally to successfully build fit for purpose contracts and supplier relationships.
Continuing to drive value through the management and development of relationships and working practices.
Must have the ability to utilise processes and implement systems under the correct governance mechanisms.
The utilisation of appropriate processes, systems, controls and governance mechanisms
Have the ability to manage highly complex disputes both commercial and contractual, breaches or exits and be able to review and renew contracts successfully.
The successful will be a highly strategic individual with the gravitas to drive the continual performance and development of the categories surrounding IT. They must also have strong stakeholder management skills and a proven track record in cultivating strong internal and external relationship. The ability to prioritise demanding work loads in challenging situations is absolutely essential. The successful candidate must also have significant experience in delivering Category Management build around IT and SRM. MCIPS would be advantageous but no essential and this training can be provided.
