Business Manager - Rail
£50k - £60k + bonus scheme
Our client is a dynamic company focused on delivering high quality, innovative, value for money, specialist engineering services. Catering to operators, suppliers and regulators of high integrity, safety critical systems. They are seeking a professional, motivated and capable Business Manager for their Rail Business Unit.
The role involves developing the business unit strategy, delivering sales through key accounts, recruitment, staff management and project delivery. The successful candidate will also be expected to work with the company's board to identify and develop operational improvements to the company infrastructure. The Business Manager will be responsible for the delivery of sales targets as defined within the annual rail business unit sales plan, as well as the identification of potential customers and visiting them to develop new business.
This role relies heavily on client management which would require the suitable candidate to deal with the maintenance and development of relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails. The monitoring of progress of projects with the customer, gaining feedback on the company's performance and taking action to rectify any shortfall in company performance will be required from the Business Manager.
