Our client is a global scientific instruments manufacturer of Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry systems for the Petrochemical, Environmental and Research markets.  It sits within an established European Group of companies, each involved in the manufacture and distribution of scientific instruments with strong and well established brands. The European Group has global reach via its Parent.

Profile

You may currently be working as CEO / MD/ GM in a similar high tech organisation, or perhaps as the No. 2 in a larger organisation seeking to step up into the Senior Leadership role.  Reporting to the Group CEO you will have overall responsibility for the business unit – P&L, products and people.  This is a true leadership role with your team dispersed globally – UK, Netherlands, US and Asia. As part of a successful international business; the European Group fully leverages its global markets and networks.

Intellectually astute with a good first Degree in science or engineering, your technical expertise and overall understanding of the Scientific Instruments industry will be strong. You will have credible general management experience with P&L responsibility and a flair for strategic development (product and commercial).

You will have experience with Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectroscopy at some stage of your career, and you’ll also bring with you a good understanding of the Chemical and Applied markets.

An inspirational people manager and developer; you will favour a collaborative approach. Regular European plus ad hoc international business travel will be required.
