Jisc is the UK expert on digital technologies for education and research. Their vision is for the UK to be the most digitally advanced higher and further education nation in the world and for Jisc to drive the digital transformation of teaching, learning and research to achieve this. This is a strategically important senior management role responsible for providing leadership across the whole range of membership services and sales activities.  Reporting into the CEO, this individual will be part of the senior executive team and will contribute to the overall leadership direction and development of Jisc.

The successful candidate will:

  • Build sustainable, lasting and positive relationships with all its members while also generating substantial new sales revenues, both from the membership and commercial customers.
  • Ensure that an excellent member experience is delivered through Jisc products and services which are continually reviewed and developed.
  • Be able to exercise forward looking, strategic and operational oversight of the Membership and Sales directorate.
  • Be able to operate effectively in both not-for-profit and commercial cultures with the ability to improve what Jisc does through creative thought, anticipating change and exploiting potential opportunities.
  • Have experience of business to business sales and evidence of strong operational knowledge of the commercial technology and telecommunications market.
