My client has transformed to a digital business and has retained me to look for an IT Director to continue this transformation. This transition will continue to embed and expand the use of technology across the organisation to increase efficiency and high levels of service to the company’s customers, partners and staff globally. 

The successful applicant will sit on the Board and contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation, leading the development and implementation of the IT strategy. 

The key purpose of the IT Director within the company is to both successfully lead the Technology department (40 heads) to help meet the needs of the business as a client and as a Board level position, input toward the strategic direction of the organisation and delivery against agreed goals. This role requires a leader who can pro-actively lead innovative technical improvements to the business whilst maintaining day to day service delivery. 

The IT Director has responsibility for an annual budget of c£5M, with three Heads of Department, supported by offshore suppliers and contractors. The role is responsible for the development and maintenance of the company’s technical tools and platforms. You will be responsible for key strategic decisions on the selection, development and maintenance of such tools, platforms and systems. The role holder is accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of these services, maximising the company’s investment in IT.
